How many countries do they have?

And do they have a good selection of those countries? It is not enough to have an American section if the only thing it contains is Jack Daniel's. Do they also have a Japanese section?

Uhhh look what they have ...

Everyone is looking for something special on a whiskey list. And of course this is the involuntary sound a whiskey drinker's mouth makes when they find something they don't really expect.

It is often followed by a recommendation to the waiter to order that product immediately. This restaurant will be visited countless times in the future by this whiskey lovers.

Whiskey drinkers will also be looking for their favorite whiskeys, just to make sure they can return to this bar in the future. If your favorite isn't there, and nothing else is up for it, this bar will probably never be visited again.

This is terrible!

There can be several reasons why a whiskey list deserves this exclamation. It might be too small, too unimaginative, too much like every other bar you've ever been to.

Whatever the reason, a terrible Whiskey list will immediately result in being deleted from the list of places to return.

Fantastic!

Like the previous point, there are many reasons for this reaction to a whiskey list. The list could be an absolute work of art, with selections from different countries and each Scottish region represented, or it could just contain your favorite whiskeys.

This is a quick and safe way for any bar to suddenly become your all-time favorite bar, with plenty of future hops already planned before you even leave.

What a nice selection of aging

Everyone likes to see a huge assortment of ages represented on a whiskey list, with many young and old alike. This is also a sign of a good, nice and varied selection.

Damn, we should have gone somewhere else

The drinker's final remorse; taking a look at the Whiskey list and realizing what a big mistake you made when choosing this bar.

The only way to remedy this is to quickly escape and head to a bar that you're sure will have a large and varied Whiskey list, to make up for the big disappointment the first bar caused.

I guess I'll have to come back here to try all the whiskeys they have

This is the opposite of drinker remorse and is probably the best possible outcome of an evening. Seeing a whiskey list with lots of stuff you've never drank is like getting a little treat on a night out. It's the perfect reason to stay all night and come back every night after.

I'll try something new… or maybe not

Any bar is a good bar when it has your favorite whiskeys. Sure, it might be nice to expand your knowledge every now and then, but with your favorite, you already know you're going to have a good time.
